Synopsis: I Almost Died for This?! is a one-woman show about a good girl who meets her soulmate, gets in way over her head, suffers a brain injury, and comes roaring back.

Q&A with Kristina Libby

Q: What inspired you to create this show?

A:  I lived an insanely wild three years that dramatically changed me life. I had to tell that story. I knew it needed to get out of my body but I also knew it could help a lot of other people too.

Q: What can audiences expect when they come to see the show at Edinburgh Fringe?

A: To laugh, to cry and to really feel something. The show is meant to create a sacred space for you to connect with my story but then also encounter your own and learn about the power of community to heal us all.

Q: Is there a particular theme, message, or idea behind the show that you hope audiences take away with them?

A: Yes, the show is about the power of community to help people heal and also about the stories we tell each other about grief love. Ultimately, it’s about how your life can change in the most unexpected ways when you lead with your heart.

Q: What is something audiences might be surprised to learn about the show?

A: It’s probably more about me than the show exactly BUT I recently ran to become a US Senator in the race in Maine! In part, to continue some of the work that is discussed in the show.

Q: Why should audiences add your show to their Fringe schedule this year?

A: t’s been discussed everywhere from Fox News to the New York Times, so come see what all the clamour is about.

I Almost Died For This?! (A Love Story. Sort Of.) is running at Space 1 at theSpace on the Mile from 7th to 29th August at 18:35.
