This 'Edinburgh Fringe - Spotlight On' series takes a look at the shows I will be reviewing at this year's festival and a 5-question Q&A with the creative teams.

Synopsis: What happens when the high-flying corporate girlie finally snaps?

Somewhere between a breakdown and a fever dream, Fiona finds herself face to face with an infuriating stranger who knows far too much about her and who, quite frankly, thinks she's a massive dick. With her reality scrutinised and her old wounds reopened, Fiona is forced to confront not only the person she's become, but her very idea of picture-perfect success.

A sharp, funny and sincerely touching debut play about burnout, butterfly clips and what happens when the voice in your head stops cheering you on.

Q&A With Holly (Co-writer)

Q: What inspired you to create this show?

A: Co-writer Katie’s real-life nervous breakdown. Don’t worry, she’s fine now. Kind of.

Q: What can audiences expect when they come to see the show at Edinburgh Fringe?

A: A nostalgic nineties-childhood rollercoaster featuring dance mats, Smash Hits, butterfly clips and more. Expect to cry a little, laugh a lot, and to reconnect with the purest form of yourself.

Q: Is there a particular theme, message, or idea behind the show that you hope audiences will take away with them?

A: Walk away with your inner flame reignited and ready to pursue your dreams by any means necessary.

Happiest I've Ever Been is running at Just The Tonic Out Of The Box at Just The Tonic at The Caves from 6th to 30th August at 10:40am.
