Synopsis: A ride worth taking!

After a 5 star debut, FWAMP! Theatre Company is thrilled to present Fantasy World Adventures Mega Park! The Musical, an original comedy that will send you on a rollercoaster of love, loss and being a constant disappointment to your parents. 

An absolute riot from start to finish, this theme park underdog story will have you crying with laughter and vicarious embarrassment. 

Grab your fast pass and immerse yourself in questionably shaped rollercoasters, outrageous staff drama and a nepo-baby that has a frivolous decision to make. 

Q&A With the Creative Team:

Q: What can audiences expect when they come to see the show at Edinburgh Fringe?

A: A raucous rollercoaster! The show is a hilarious dive into a failing, fictional theme park and includes a cohort of characters you won’t easily forget. Think intense staff drama, wildly inappropriate rollercoaster plans and an overly dramatic evil plot, all rolled into a chaotic mix of musical theatre comedy.

Q: Is there a particular theme, message, or idea behind the show that you hope audiences takeaway with them?

A: Don’t take yourself too seriously! Our show celebrates the absurdity in the ordinary, and we want

audiences to leave knowing they can go after their dreams, no matter how “silly” they might seem, and know that it’s ok to laugh at yourself every once in a while!

Q: What is something audiences might be surprised to learn about the show?

A: That it was originally a full length, 2-hour production! We debuted the show last year in Leeds to rave reviews, and it’s been a task to cut the show down to fit a Fringe running time - now we have two versions of the show which is really exciting for the future.

Q: What has been the most exciting part of bringing this production to Edinburgh Fringe?

A: Finding out that we are recipients of the Keep It Fringe Fund! It is an honour to know that our work has been seen and invested in, and we’re so excited to be bringing it to Edinburgh for the first time, and hope that audiences will see its potential.

Q: Why should audiences add your show to their Fringe schedule this year?

A: It will be unlike anything they’ve seen before! We fuse a broad range of genres with contemporary

musical theatre, British sarcasm and innuendos with hilariously absurd characters. FWAMP! is a

rollercoaster ride worth taking.
