The Comedy About Spies Cast (2025)

Taken over my calendar, stolen my heart — can’t get enough of this one!

Mischief Comedy are back in the West End with a brand-new 1960s spy spoof — and it’s everything you’d hope for: total chaos, razor-sharp timing, and the perfect mix of clever and ridiculous. I’ve cried laughing every time I’ve seen it!

It’s been really fun seeing how the show changed across the previews — I had to see how it all came together on opening night.

The writing’s packed with puns and wordplay that are totally ridiculous but so clever - I can’t tell you how many times I’ve randomly remembered a line and just burst out laughing. The twists keep you on your toes, but it’s the characters that really pull you in. They’re chaotic, loveable, and when their agendas collide and wires get crossed, it’s hilarious.

The set is really impressive — smooth location changes, great lighting, perfectly timed blackouts, and it all flows so well there’s never a dull moment.

The cast are phenomenal — each one brings sharp timing, physical comedy, and they keep the high energy going throughout. Some of the dialogue is so fast and ridiculous, I honestly don’t know how they remember it all. There’s also some really impressive stunt and fight choreography — they make it all look so effortless.

You can feel how much fun they’re having, and that energy spreads through the whole audience. You find yourself not just laughing at what’s happening on stage, but also at a stranger’s reaction across the room. There’s such a lovely buzz in the theatre, and it’s a big part of why I’m such a fan of Mischief. You get that real feeling of sharing something special.

Noël Coward Theatre is a great spot for this show, but some seats have restricted views in the first act. Screens help, but double-check before booking.

🎭 It’s playing at the Noël Coward Theatre until Sept 5th… how many more trips can I squeeze in before then?
