Written by Filip Holacky, this exciting new musical follows Walter, a rising ballet star delivering flawless performances—until he wakes up in a lab. Confused, he discovers he’s been kidnapped by “The Foundry”…and he’s not human. He’s an android. Haunted by memories of a life he thought was real, he fights to reclaim his identity.

Under the direction of Liam Tiesteel, the show flows seamlessly, blending story, dance, and music.

The pre-show immediately transports you into the world the show is creating—a dark stage, flashlights and sounds build the tension and mystery from the moment you take your seat.

Choreographed by Adam Maclean, the use of dance and movement throughout the show is truly stunning—not just used to depict performance or rehearsal, but woven throughout the show to add an extra layer to the storytelling.

The lighting design by Tom Sadler was equally impressive—with excellent use of colour, shapes and blackouts to shift between memories and the present… and even characters. This added so much to supporting the narrative and building the drama throughout the show.

The music and lyrics are stunning, with emotional solos, duets and layered vocals. When I see a new musical, I hope to leave with at least one song stuck in my head on the way home—and I really did… and still do.

The cast of ten all gave passionate and strong performances. The four leads — Harrison Vaughan as Walter, Kate Stevenson as Blue (Walter’s strongest human connection), Jill Davey as Wescott (his mentor), and Fergus Dale as Noah (a handler from The Foundry — delivered powerful vocals, while the six ensemble members helped shape the story through movement and dance, tying the narrative together.

This is an impressive piece of theatre with a beautiful score, stunning choreography and fabulous vocals.
